North are pleased to announce two new gigs in the North West over the next couple of months:

17th March 2011 - De Bees, Winsford
1st April 2011 - Gullivers, Manchester

The gig at Gullivers is again at the request of Northern Cat promoters.

North are currently working on a new Facebook page and already can be followed on Twitter

North played at 'Rebel Rebel' (Jabez Clegg, Manchester), at the request of Northern Cats promoters, yesterday evening to an enthusiastic crowd.



Also on the bill were Old Yellow, who the band recommend as someone to check out!

The gig was the first with Lisa and the band premiered a new song - Slip Slide Away

North will be playing at 'Rebel Rebel' (Jabez Clegg, Manchester), at the request of Northern Cats promoters, on Saturday 5th February 2010.

Tickets are £5 (£6 on the door) and are available by contacting the band via this website.

Doors open at 7:30pm and more bands to be announced soon.

2nd December 2010

North are extremely pleased to announce that Lisa Peplow has joined the band as lead singer.

Lisa met up with the band earlier this week to run through a few songs and by the end of them, the band had a new singer!

Lisa also writes so it won't be long before new additions to the setlist will be included.

As well as this exciting news, a gig at Jabez Clegg, on 5th Feb 2011, will shortly be confirmed and tickets will be available from this website and band members direct.

A selection of photos (courtesy of ManchesterSounds) have been added to the Images section. These photos were taken at the Clubhouse gig on the 23rd July.

The band were well received and they played a 45 minute set including a new song ("Mr Big Man") written by Wayne and Kristy.

Check back for a forthcoming announcement regarding a local festival gig that North are hoping to play in late August. Also in the pipeline is another gig through Northern Cats promotions, hopefully in October.

Just a reminder that North play at Stockport Clubhouse, along with Rogue Frequency and Tomorrows Yesterday, on Friday 23rd July 2010.

Entry to this all ages gig is free and the running order is to be decided. Doors open at 8:30pm, with the first band on at 9:00pm.

North recently played to a packed Jabez Clegg and a few pictures from the gig have been placed in the 'Images' section of the website.

The response from the gig was very positive and the band have been invited back to play the same venue, but this time in the bigger room. A date for this gig is yet to be confirmed but will hopefully be announced in the next few weeks.

North are extremely pleased to announce that Kristy Parkes is returning to the band, following Lucy Harris's recent decision to leave.

Kristy is a founding member of North, who left to pursue career opportunities but not before contributing to the first recording the band ever made. Three songs from the recording can now be heard on the North mySpace page and the fourth track here: SONGS

Some of these tracks will now be dusted down and included in the live set along with other material written by Wayne.

North would like to wish Lucy the best of luck with any future endevours and are extremely exited to be once more working with Kristy!

Unfortunately, this has meant that the Blue Cat gig in May has had to be cancelled. North apologise to anyone who was coming along to this and hope to see you in Manchester on the 17th June.

North are pleased to announce that Irene Etel has joined the band on bass guitar. Irene has already played two, well received, gigs with the band, both at The Verge, in Hyde during the last month.

North are also pleased to announce a further gig at the Blue Cat Cafe on May 20th, with Hugh Clarke as support. Other gigs are also in the process of being arranged. More details to follow....

North played a 45 minute set, to a very appreciative crowd, on Thursday 30th July at the Blue Cat in Stockport. The set was a mixture of Lucys material brought to the band along with a number of songs Wayne had written that North had been playing recently. Added to these was a brand new composition from Lucy ('Stay With Me') along with the first, of many, collaborations between Lucy and Wayne called 'Scared You'll Leave Tonight'.

They've been a bit quite recently but North are pleased to announce that they will be playing two gigs at the Blue Cat Cafe over the next couple of months.

These will be on Thursday 30th July and Friday 21st August 2009.

Entry to the gigs is free and further information regarding support acts and timings will be announced in due course.

Please note that the gig that was planned for the 31st July at The Castle, Manchester has now been cancelled due to the venue closing.

The band apologise for any inconvienance this may cause but it is obviously out of their control.

The next gig is at the Night & Day Cafe (29th August) and more details, including a flyer to download for discounted entry, will appear on the website within the next week.
